VOLUNTEER

Invest in yourself and your community at the same time

Build or maintain trails. Help set up events. Write grants. Cook food. There are so many ways a person can step up to become an active part of making trails in our community possible. Whether you want to help out just once or you want to make a monthly commitment, we’d love to have you in the mix. Some volunteers even grow into official trail liaisons, race/event directors, committee members, or board leaders.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

These are the kinds of things we’re always looking for help with.

  • Building/maintaining trails (no experience needed!)
  • Event coordination and assistance
  • Organizing social activities
  • Sponsor recruiting and relationships
  • Technical admin help
  • Grilling/food
  • Carpentry
  • Legal or financial advice
  • Administration
  • Photography
  • Marketing and communications
  • Graphic design

WHY YOU SHOULD DO IT

CORBA is a 100% volunteer-run operation. There’s no city or county staff. There’s just folks like you, making things happen. And at a time when time and attention are spread thin for all, we need inspired individuals who love the outdoors to choose to spend some of their precious time investing in themselves and their community by volunteering for organizations like CORBA. Just a few passionate people can tip the scales and create the momentum needed for exciting things to happen. And many hands make light work. Grab a friend or your family and come join us. You’ll be all the better for it.

HELPING IN THE DIRT

A big part of what makes CORBA tick!

Maybe you’ve got the chainring mark on your calf, or the dust on your shoes, but do you have the dirt under your fingernails? Think about it! As trail users, we all want to see increased and enhanced opportunities to get out and use them.

CORBA volunteers are committed to making this happen, but we need your help. Come join other trail users at any of our trail workdays. No building experience is necessary, and you’ll discover that there’s no better pleasure than using trails you helped build with your own two hands, while meeting some like-minded folks. Trails used by mountain bikers, hikers, snowshoers, trail runners, dog walkers and nature lovers of all ages.
