River Doc Trails is a well-maintained trail system on private land, circling farm fields and meandering through a hardwood forest. Gradual terrain and wider trail widths make this system well-suited to beginning mountain bikers. More advanced riders will enjoy River Doc’s flowy design and optional features, like skinnies, rock gardens and jumps. River Doc is a destination for winter biking, cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Fat biking trails are groomed regularly, and there are also cross country ski trails on the property.

The land for River Doc Trails is provided courtesy of the estate of the late Dr. Rod Olson, who is remembered for his passion in improving water quality in the Red Cedar River Watershed. Many trail names reflect the names of the rivers in the watershed. Across the road to the south is the River Doc Nature Conservancy. Biking is not allowed in the conservancy, but hiking is welcome in both the conservancy and River Doc Trails.
