Lowes Creek Eau Claire County Park, within the city, is CORBA’s most popular park offering twisty singletrack, quick climbs and fast sections over 250 acres. At Lowes Creek you will find a variety of trails for every level of rider, from beginner to advanced. The trails include approximately 5 miles of the double-track cross country ski system and over 13 miles of technical/challenging narrow single track with new built and natural features being added each year. The single track trails take the rider to all four corners of the park by winding through pine tree forests, crossing creekbeds, and cruising along ridge lines. All of the trails at Lowes Creek are multi-use so they appeal to runners, walkers, and mountain bikers. Single track trails are open in the winter for fat tire bikes and snowshoers. However, bikers and snowshoers must stay off groomed ski trails, except that they are allowed to cross at junctions with single track trails. Likewise, those hiking in boots in winter should stay off groomed single track trails.

Lowes Creek has hosted many race events over the years including the Red Flint Firecracker, the Powder Keg, Fall Back Blast, Snowshoe Nationals, NICA youth races, and more. It is also the home of the Adventure Playground Bike Park, opened in 2024. Geared for beginners and kids, there are several ridable features and picnic tables within a fenced in area just off the Eastside entrance.

Please support your local trail system at Lowes Creek County Park by purchasing a daily or annual pass. Eau Claire County supports the efforts of CORBA for trail development and one of the reasons is due to the increased parking revenue these trails bring in. Purchasing a parking pass is like casting your vote for more trails!

Users may park and enter from the Westside of the creek off S. Lowes Creek Road, or on the Eastside of the creek from the Eau Claire County Expo grounds off of Lorch Avenue. Flush toilets are available in season on the Expo Grounds, and pit toilets are available on the Westside.
