Nick Meyer

Vice President

Hello, I’m Nick Meyer married with three boys ages 11, 8, and 5. I am an enthusiastic cyclist enjoying road riding, gravel routes, mountain biking, winter fat biking, and commuting to work when I can (ultimately riding between 2,500-3,500 miles per year and in a handful of events). My wife also bikes and is a highly avid Nordic skier, snowshoer, and runner. Our entire family are active road and mountain bikers, including being members of the 906 Adventure Team (a youth bike team my wife coaches) and the Eau Claire Youth Cycling Team which competes statewide in the NICA system. Our kids are also on the Chippewa Valley Nordic Ski Team and the Kickin’ Kids Youth Ski Team.

Professionally, I am the owner of Volume One, The Local Store, the Chippewa River Trolley Co (and other related V1 endeavors), as well as co-owner and founder of the Oxbow Hotel and The Lakely. Spanning more than 20 years, I’ve built hundreds of relevant relationships in many corners of the Eau Claire community, produced dozens of high-profile community events (outdoors, food, arts, nightlife, family, theater, etc) attended by tens of thousands of people annually, and have extensive experience with advertising and marketing including print, digital, web, social media, email, TV/radio, and more. I also have experience with video production, community engagement, PR, membership campaigns, podcasting, fundraising, and earned media coverage.

Additionally, I am highly involved in a variety community endeavors focused on the outdoors, arts, tourism, and economic development, having served on more than ten community boards and campaigns over 20 years including currently: Visit Eau Claire Board of Directors, Wisconsin Bike Fed Board of Directors, (and CORBA). Formerly: Wisconsin Arts Board, Downtown Eau Claire Board, Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce, Chippewa Valley Museum Board, North Barstow Business Improvement District Board, and others.
