Kennedy is an Eau Claire transplant, moving here in 2018 from a north suburb of Chicago. With family ties to the region, she quickly fell in love with Eau Claire’s bike trails, rivers, northwoods feel, and above all, the community. In the last handful of years, her passion for the region has only grown, and her next big goal is to build our incredible corner of Western Wisconsin into a premier outdoor recreation destination. Professionally, Kennedy is the Outdoors Development Manager at Visit Eau Claire where she works to pursue just that. For outdoor fun, Kennedy enjoys hiking, road and mountain biking, fly fishing, kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding, cross country skiing, and more recently bird hunting and trap shooting. Between her lifetime of recreating outdoors, background in GIS/cartography, and more recently working on engaging with the community, she is eager to serve on the CORBA board and contribute to the bigger vision of what this region can become – an outdoor recreation mecca of Wisconsin proportions never seen before.
