CORBA Board of Directors will have openings in March election, Sign up now to learn more
This past couple of years CORBA has built incredible momentum with new events, projects, fundraising, and more. We’re now recruiting folks who’d like to be part of our team making it all happen on the Board of Directors for CORBA, as well as Trail Liaisons at our systems, and other key volunteers like those working on grants, event planning teams, fundraising, and more.
Some Snow is Finally Here, with a Bit More on the Way!
Snowshoe users are encouraged to get out on the trails and tamp down what we’ve got. Heck, fat bikes can ride it in too. But with the weekend’s forecast of a few more inches of snow, we’ll hopefully have the base needed to get out and start full grooming operations soon. Hickory Ridge did some grooming of their trails, but the fact remains everywhere just needs more snow!
SATURDAY: Candlelight Snowshoe Event at Centennial Park
On Saturday, February 8th, from 5:30-8:30pm, join CORBA and the Altoona Parks & Recreation Department at the annual Candlelight Snowshoe Hike on the off-road trails in Centennial Park! We will have a few pairs of snowshoes to use, but if you have some, PLEASE bring them. Flat bottom toboggans or sleds for the little ones are welcome. No cost to attend and enjoy drinking hot cocoa while warming up next to one of the two campfires. The parking area at Centennial Park may fill quickly, so people may park along Woodside Terrace or Otter Creek Trail and walk down the paved access.
Coon Fork 40 Registration Growing Fast with 85+ Riders from 8 State
CORBA’s beach-to-beach, woodsy gravel ride adventure came out of the gate last year with a hair under 500 folks there to ride and hang out on the shores of Coon Fork Lake just outside Augusta, WI. So for 2025, we’re buckled up and ready for even more fun and improvements as we focus on creating one of Wisconsin’s best gravel events. Both event registration and camping reservations are open now with riders already signed up from all over the Midwest and beyond. Learn more at CoonForkGravel.com
